About Thanks for Giving:
Thanksgiving is a traditional time for family, fellowship, and food, but for some families in Cobb County, it is also a time when they struggle to make ends meet. Families who are facing hardships from the effects of inflation, a job loss, illness, or other challenges often need help filling their tables with nutritious food to celebrate the holiday.
For almost 40 years, The Center for Family Resources’ (CFR) THANKS FOR GIVING program has helped provide families in Cobb County with food for a delicious Thanksgiving meal and the entire holiday week. This ensures children who participate in free or reduced meal programs at school continue to have nourishment while on school break.
This effort is only achieved by the support of our community. We need your help to make this year’s Thanks for Giving program a success! With your support, we can ensure 1,000 Cobb County families receive food and other essential resources they need to celebrate the holiday.
