Barricade Bubba - Ends 12/2/25

On May 15, 2025, Sergeant James “Bubba” Revell was featured in a video on the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office Facebook and Instagram pages, congratulating the graduating class of 2025 on their achievement. Shortly after posting, the video was flooded with thousands of comments, many of which mocked Bubba’s physical appearance. June 11th marks 12 years that Bubba has served with the Sheriff’s Office, not only keeping the people of Bulloch County safe, and creating a meaningful difference in the lives of children as a School Resource Officer, but also being a constant source of kindness for his community. After the negative reaction to the video became apparent, those who know and love Bubba filled the comments with words of kindness and positivity for him and the work he’s done over the years. 

Bubba and the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office have decided to use the fuel from the negativity as a beacon of kindness and hope for the local nonprofit organization, Fostering Bulloch. For the last 15 years, Fostering Bulloch has worked to support local foster children and families, as well as caseworkers of the Division of Family and Children Services.
